Come Over To My House - BOM 2009
Block 9 - Morty's Place

Share a Photo of your Block | View Block 9 Photos

This is your last house block! In October and November you'll be growing/piecing trees and in December you'll receive the final assembly instructions. Block 9 reminds me of some of the Victorian houses in Chicago and we have an uncle Morty who used to live there - thus Morty's Place.

To match our color scheme for block 9, you'll need medium purple scraps for house, yellow or gold fabric for the door, white or cream scraps for the windows and coumns, and lavender or light purple for the roofs (or is that rooves?), along with your sky/background fabric.

Here is the downloadable pdf pattern for block 9:

Here are the videos for making nice roof triangles:

As usual, do not photocopy or email the PDF file to a friend. I want to you share my BOM pattern with any one who wants it, but please direct them to this web page and they can join right in. Blocks 1-8 are no longer available for free downloading, but if you missed out on any of those blocks, you can purchase them for a $1 each on my pattern page (scroll down).

When you've finished your last house block, don't forget to post a photo of your block. Here is the form to submit your photos Check the bottom of this page to see other quilters' block 9 photos.
